HAVEN serves survivors of sexual and domestic violence in Wasco, Sherman, Gilliam and Wheeler Counties through crisis support, advocacy and counseling.
HAVEN offers advocacy to assist survivors in a range of challenges they may encounter. Advocates can help survivors navigate obstacles to finding housing after an abusive relationship, accessing physical and mental healthcare services, gaining financial independence, and legal processes including child custody. Advocates are also able to provide emotional support when conflicting feelings arise about their abusive intimate partners and safety planning to navigate dangerous situations and potential triggers. Community-based advocates provide confidential services to people of all genders, ages and backgrounds who are experiencing violence.
