Mentor4Success (M4S) provides youth with the skills and resources necessary to graduate high school and transition into – and succeeding within – postsecondary opportunities. The program runs parallel to the school calendar, September to May.
Students can receive mentoring in various ways. The Black United Fund of Oregon offers, group and one-on-one mentoring to students wishing to get additional help with their higher education goals. Whether you need an additional set of eyes to look over your essay, are struggling with choosing a major, or struggling with what school/training program to continue with after high school, or are just simply feeling stressed about higher education in general, BUF can help ease your worries.
Students set up their own schedule with their mentor, and have the option of meeting as frequently as they need. Some students will meet with their mentor once per week while others will meet with their mentors once per quarter. This program is designed with the student schedule in mind, so please utilize free-periods during school hours, morning, evenings, or weekends.
