Northwest Youth Corps’ LatinX Crew is created in partnership with ViveNW, the National Forest Foundation, and Mount Hood National Forest, and combines education and job skills training with outdoor adventure for 16 to 19 year olds. With the guidance of experienced field staff, youth crew members work on conservation, reforestation, and recreation projects, while developing leadership skills and learning how to work as a team. Crews camp for their entire 5 week session, traveling to new projects often and recreating on the weekends.
Eligibility:
Qualifications: 16-19 year old Latinx youth; able to hike distances of up to 5 miles; be able to do physical work 8 hours a day; Willing to camp with crew for entire trip

Financial Information:
Earn $300/week stipend and $50/week bonus and high school credit.
Costs: The program has a tuition cost of $225 with ample tuition assistance available based on need. We do not want tuition cost to be a barrier for anyone.
