At Northwest Youth Corps, Conservation Interns are placed directly with land and water management agencies and non-profit organizations around the region. Conservation Interns are tasked with accomplishing specific projects that are critical to the success of the host agency. Positions can vary from 10 weeks to 10 months depending on the position and needs of the host site. Support elements such as housing or food can vary widely depending on location and position duties. Northwest Youth Corps staff will work with you to determine what positions would best meet your needs and skill set. College coursework is generally required for these positions.
