Just Compassion has been partnering with the City of Beaverton to operate Beaverton Severe Weather Shelter (BSWS) to provide a warm, safe space for adults experiencing homelessness to stay overnight during the winter season. The primary goal of the shelter is to ensure that no-one dies from exposure to the elements due to lack of housing in Beaverton. The shelter provides space for 30 adults to sleep and 3 meals a day.
In continued partnership with the City of Beaverton, Just Compassion is able to operate this shelter 7 nights a week, during the winter shelter season, for enrolled adults.
The shelter will reopen in November 2022 for the winter season at the Beaverton Community Center, check this site for updates.
